Here at Live Power Solutions we take health and safety very seriously. We maintain high standards that we pride ourselves on through continual training, the provision of high quality personal protective equipment, tools and test equipment.
Live Power Solutions is a member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (“IOSH”). We regularly receive updates from IOSH and these are relaid to our employees in the form of tool box talks. This ensures that all our employees remain current and well trained in all health and safety matters.
All employees are well trained and hold certificates of competency in the following:
- Emergency first aid at work
- The safe use of abrasive wheels
- Manual handling
- National Plant Operators Registration Scheme (“NPORS”) or Construction Plant Competence Scheme (“CPCS”) 360 degree excavator
- NRASWA street works qualification
In addition all cable jointers hold the following:
- DNO jointing authorisations
- City & Guilds qualification in an electrical field
- Switching and Linking
- Fault Management
We have the following policies in place that are issued and explained to all staff;
- Health, safety and welfare
- Environmental
- Code of conduct
- Anti bribery
- Company vehicle
Our audit programme ensures that these policies are being followed and improvements to quality and our processes are continually updated
We hold a waste carrier licence from the Environment Agency to remove waste from site
Nothing we do is so important, that we cannot find time to do it safely
